I wanted to allude to screen printing and wood block type with this design.The deliberate choice of featuring a guitar rather than a microphone encouraged students to bring their instruments, and was actually proven by an noticeable increase in students with guitars, keyboards, and other instruments to the open mic night, instead of turning into more of a “karaoke” event like it had in the past.
